Dec 31st :
Worked untill 7 PM [Yes!! I work alot]. Then went home, thinking about what are we supposed to do for this upcoming night, where everyone enjoys it ?? Suddenly, phone from one of our friends, they said "Dudes !! Suit Up ! Will go out, lets party !!"..
Excitement from very deep corners have come out and we started the preparations.. We took day’s second bath [Can you believe it ? Bath at night !! ].. Party dresses came out of the closets, which were lying like that for some months…. Dinner, we planned it outside… We are 5.. After a long time arguing about where to eat, we finally sat down for some very very tasty burgers [trust me] at my favourite place "The Bayroutes" on the beach road.
2340 We were on our way to witness the well know "city celebrations" for the new year at "Downtown", Limassol.
2355 We reached the place, its very cold, yet there were many people to enjoy the new year eve.
The counting began, 10, 9, 8 ……. 3,2,1 …… things started to happen simultaneously..
A phone call from INDIA exactly at 00:00 [Missed it, though] .. Friends started wishing me a "Happy new year", fireworks started, camera flash lights.. Music.. God!! it was GREAT !! I met two of my teammates ! Wished everyone "A very Happy new year"… Met most [Yes ! Not all, some were busy enjoyin somewhr 
else ] of friends in Limassol..
But, I was surprised who has called me exactly at 00:00 from INDIA ? Number was blocked… So its surely from INDIA .. But, they stayed awake untill 0330 IST to wish me.. haaan, that was so nice….
0005 What to do now ? Thought for a while and decided to goto a Pub…. Drove a long way and arrived at BASEMENT PUB. Parked my car, phone rang again.. this time no mistake I took the call… It was my dad… I was very happy… They were awake that long just to wish me… The best thing, I wasn’t expecting the call from them coz, I already called them at 00:00 IST.. and wished them.. Hmm., anyway… suddenly we decided not to go inside and go somewhr else and enjoy.. we drove back and came to TEMPO… Its a cool bar.
We chit chatted for some time and decided to go to Nicosia and have fun thr.. But, it was night and we were pretty drunk and decided to go in the early morning… Guess what !! We woke up at 2PM… 
Anyway, we were motivated, we met at a place and started searching for food like nomads.. but the streets were deserted, everything closed, no food, no water, no beer.. come on !! We felt like Will Smith in "I am legend" .. but here its "we are legend" ..
Anyway, finally at 4PM they opened Mc. Donalds and we had our lunch, breakfast what ever you call it.. We waited at their doors for 45 min… ofcourse, we utilised the time for a special sun light photoshoot.. hehe.. We thought even in Nicosia, it will be the same situation, so we decided to goto a movie… We found out the timings and got the tickets and met some of our friends at their house, in the mean time..
At 20:20 The movie "HITMAN" started. Its a open air theater [Semi].. Its very cold, they have useless heaters.. The movie was good.. had fun.. Came back to INDIAN MASALA for some spicy Indian Food. Well, from a boring night it turned out as a great night to be remembered… My first!!! New Year Eve abroad..
Thanks to Sampath, Rahul and Dinesh for being with me all the time during these days 31 and 1 … You have given me great moments to be remembered. Also, Thanks to IK aka Reddy and KAMAL.
Hmmm., Thats how, I enjoyed my new year eve ‘08.
